How to host a MakeupMaster workshop
Pre planning
- Decide the time—phone MakeupMasters and set a day or evening and date (about one month in advance) to suit you hosting the 2–3 hour workshop.
- Draw up a guest list of about 10 people you think might enjoy the workshop. You’ll need to start with this number to end up with 6 to 8 participants. That’s because it usually works out is that 8 to 10 accept the invitation and then on the day another 2 or so people don’t show up for one reason or another so you end up with about 6 to 8.
- Decide the refreshments you’ll serve—please, keep it simple and low cost—tea and coffee with biscuits or cake will be fine.
Send out the invitations
You can invite guests by email or post (MM will supply the invites) or simply just phone or text.
Work in conjunction with MakeupMaster to set up the workshop
- Keep in touch with your MM about the numbers of your RSVPs.
- Talk to your MM about the range of age groups of your guests.
Three days before the workshop
- Phone or email MM to tell them how many people accepted the invitation.
- Arrange for the MM to send out the reminders/confirmations to the guests.
- Confirm with the MM their time of arrival on the day to set up the workshop.
On the day
- When the MM arrives work with them to arrange seating and lighting for the guests and the best position for the makeup table and chair etc.
- Introduce your guests to the MM as each of them arrives.
- Settle your guests and help the MM to start the workshop on time.
- Serve light refreshments after the demonstration.
- Help those guests paying for their order later to agree on a payment and collection day.
- Collect your MakeupMaster gift for hosting the workshop.

After the workshop
- In 3 days accept delivery of the MM products bought at the workshop for cash/credit.
- At the agreed time, collect the money for all other orders, arrange a time for your MakeupMaster to deliver them and then distribute them to the relevant guests.
